Rehan Syed

Syed is currently pursuing his PhD on ‘BPM leadership’ at QUT. Syed has taken substantive management and leadership roles in the tertiary education sector before moving to Australia to pursue his PhD. He has held the post of Director Local Technical Secretariat of the prestigious ‘Improving Relevance and Quality of Undergraduate Education’ (IRQUE) Project (Sponsored by the World Bank). He also acted as the reviewer of Higher Education for Twenty-First Century Project (HETC) World Bank Grant for State Universities in Sri Lanka. Syed specialises in project management for large-scale and complex IS projects. His professional work, consultancies and projects focus on BPM, business analysis, software development in medium to large scale organisations, e-government, and educational institutions. His research and publications are in the areas of Business Process Management and Leadership in developing countries. He has published and presented his research work in reputed conferences and professional forums.
