Bandula Ranathunga is a Program Specialist of Information & Communication Technology Agency (ICTA) of Sri Lanka. He plays an active role in a number of Sri Lankan Government process reform initiatives, where he is responsible to ensure that government business processes are enabled with sound and innovative ICT solutions and implemented properly. He is also a member of a number of ICT policy committees.

Before he joined ICTA, he was the CIO of the Ministry of Local Government and Provincial Councils and held various roles in the context of Business Process Re-engineering within the government sector.

He holds a diploma in Information Technology from Sri Lanka Institute of Development Administration (SLIDA), an Advanced Diploma in Local Government from Sri Lanka Institute of Local Government (SLILG), a post graduate diploma in eGovernment from Postgraduate Institute of Management of University of Sri Jayewardenepura (PIM-USJ) and a Master of Public Administration from PIM-USJ.
