Prof. dr. Amy Van Looy

Amy Van Looy holds a Ph.D. in applied economics. She is Assistant Professor at the Faculty of Economics and Business Administration of Ghent University (Belgium). Before entering academia, Amy worked as an IT consultant for e-government projects. She is passionate about the adoption and evolution of a process-oriented approach, including organizational capabilities and the impact on culture, people, governance, strategy, and structure, the contextual factors affecting process realizations, and digital innovation. Her research is published in scientific outlets such as Total Quality Management & Business Excellence, Enterprise Information Systems, Information & Management, Business & Information Systems Engineering and Journal for the Association of Information Systems. She obtained the “Highest Award for Achievement” at the Dale Carnegie Consulting Program (2007) and the “Award for Best Contribution” at the OnTheMove Academy (2010). Additionally, Amy was nominated in the top-10 for “Young ICT Lady of the year 2014” by the Belgian magazine DataNews.
