Peter Loos is director of the Institute for Information Systems (IWi) at the German Research Institute for Artificial Intelligence (DFKI) as well as full professor and head of the chair for Information Systems at Saarland University. His research activities include business process management, conceptual modeling and enterprise systems. During his earlier career, Peter had been professor at University of Mainz and at Chemnitz University of Technology. Furthermore, he had worked for 6 years as manager of the software development department at a software and consulting company. Peter has written several books and contributed to more than 50 books. He also published more than 30 journal articles and more than 300 articles in proceedings and papers.
