Svetlana Bloching is a consultant for IT systems and environmental management in the environmental department at Deutsche Bahn AG. The focus of her activities is currently the administration of a web application, the core of which is a Business Process Management System (BPMS). During the past three years she has worked as part of a project team modelling the life-cycle of a compensation obligation in the nature protection area as a process using BPMN 2.0, implementing this process into an executable application. Svetlana received her Master’s degree in Industrial Environmental Informatics from the University of Applied Sciences in Berlin. Her masters thesis dealt with the topic of the Life Cycle Assessment (LCA) for a solar module, a process conducted via the use of environmental management information systems (EMIS) and represented a material flow analysis. The thesis won her the Umberto Student Award
