Dr. Kulathilaka is an M.B.B.S qualified Medical Doctor with a passion to digitize medical services. He initiated and lead the “eHospital Dompe” project, to date, the most successful ICT deployment in a Government Hospital in Sri Lanka, and was the winner of the National Award for Science & Technology Achievements (2014) for this work. He also initiated and lead the first automated appointment system for a Government Hospital in Sri Lanka (called “mChannelling”) and received the prestigious presidential award ‘eSwabhimani’ in recognition of his excellence and dedication. Dr. Kulathilaka is trained in e-Health, Change Management, and Knowledge Management and has applied his medical and ICT expertise in a range of e-Health initiatives. He has presented his work in International eHealth conferences and events as an invited speaker, published his expert insights in specialized outlets, and also promoted e-Health, nationally through mass media.
